Sure, Katy Perry may not be homophobic, but that doesn't stop this song from being kinda repulsive.

She's naming a bunch of things that she believes to be negative. And then calls them gay attributes.

This is a person who is a scene kid, obviously. His image is clearly very poser.

But in naming all these fake attributes the guy has, she says that he's acting 'gay'. He doesn't like boys, but he's still acting 'gay' in every other way.

It's perpetuating a stereotype, and encouraging the use of 'gay' as a pejorative.

Sure you may say that words evolve, but that's only when their meanings get superseded. Gay used to mean 'happy', and it doesn't any more. This is obvious. But there is a substantial group who identify themselves as 'gay'. The meaning isn't evolving, it's staying the same, while some people just decide to add another negative meaning onto it.

Katy Perry just seems to perpetuate the rather irritating idea that 'guys kissing is gross, but girls kissing is pretty sweet'.

She just seems rather ignorant is all.

And seriously a bad lyricist.

"No you don't even like penis?"

Like a bloody twelve year old.

And let's not even get started on her negative views on Mozart, vegetarians and electric cars.
