Lyric discussion by iamsolidsnake

Eshame: Do you guys think he means "Savannah heat" like the city of Savannah, GA? It gets pretty hot here. Or does he mean "savanna" like a grassland? Anyone have any insight here?

I was wondering the same before I looked up the lyrics, but knowing the poltergeist line, I know now he's talking about the ciy of savannah, one of our nation's most haunted cities. how do I know this? Resident of course. They've got more ghost tours than clothes stores it seems. from walking tours to trollies to hursts converted into touring vehicles ( no shit), they'll make a buck off the dead as easily they'll make it off the living.

@iamsolidsnake This is my favorite line. What I take from it is him describing her love as something strange/unreal ("poltergeist") and overwhelming/stifling (like Savannah heat... Savannah heat being extremely heavy, humid, etc.). Perhaps a love he isn't ready for or wasn't expecting. Such a beautiful line.

@iamsolidsnake This is my favorite line. What I take from it is him describing her love as something either strange/unreal or gone like a ghost, i.e. this person has passed away ("poltergeist") and overwhelming/stifling ("Savannah heat"... Savannah heat being extremely heavy, humid, etc.). Perhaps a love he isn't ready for or wasn't expecting, or a love lost... Such a beautiful line.
