Umm I basically agree with everyone else, about telling the girl that even if he's not with her, that everything will be ok. I mean the song does leave it open to pretty much whatever you want to interpret it as. At first I took it as they were boyfriend and girlfriend and she's kind of upset or they were fighting and he's telling her that everything's fine.

I think that part is about they fight sometimes but that won't break them, he won't let go of her, because she's his other half.
