I just heard this song, and I immediately took it as a guy saying that he's maybe pretending to be in love, or he's tricking himself into being in love, because that's what he wants.
I could be wrong, and I probably am. Any other suggestions?

Except i think he thought that he was in love, but when it came time that he decided to say it, he couldn't becuase ONE: she wouldn't listen or take the time for him, and TWO: he relized he's not in love with girl, and that he just wants to be in love. But not with someone who doesn't love him back.
