What happened was he was sitting in a bar while outside it was throwing it down with rain. Through the window he saw two people running and, by accident, they crashed into each other. The man got up apologised and asked if he could buy the now soaking wet woman a drink. They went into a bar and had a few drink and got talking really well, but after quite some time when the man asked if she wanted another she replied 'Sorry, my boyfriend will be wondering where i am' and then left. Damien went over to talk and together they wrote the song about how the guy had fallen for her only to be crushed by her being already taken. Excellent song, didn't used to like it until it was all explained, now it's my favourite on the album.
