i think that its just about loving someone, but the families dont aprove, and that the "children behave" is sorta meant to express how they feel that they are treated. could be that they are teens, but its not necessarily so.
@jkid1190 I don't think their parents 'don't approve' I just think they're conservative. So sneaking away to make out is the only way they can be together without their parents watching over them.

It was done by a black female singer and was originally about a white boy and a black girl! So in that aspect I'm pretty sure most of the VERY RACIST 45 supporters would still "not approve"!
