I totally agree with josephRaymond. I think the song is about a person who is too honest for their own good and so people don't understand them. They misread the things they say. When they feel that a person is using them, they let it be known that that's how they feel. If there is something about their friend that bothers them, they can't be expected to just forget about it and leave it there, they're going to try and do something about it. But, in the end, this kind of behavior can backfire and in the end the person can be left with no friends, bcuz even when he tries to behave himself, "what do u know, it happened again". So, should he just paste a smile on his face and try to forget about the things that bother him about people? Or should he continue to be honest and only keep the people in his life that don't misread the things he says?
