Now that I read the comments up there it does seem a bit Lolita-esque, but when I first heard this song I thought it was more about domestic abuse (and possibly forced sex/rape?)

If anyone's heard Flyleaf's Tina, that's about a woman who is abused so badly by her boyfriend she first abuses and then sets fire to herself; its POSSIBLE that this song is a nod in that direction, as 'That doesn't compare to what I do to myself when you're not there' to me seems to be hinting towards self harm.
