Well first of all Mat Kearney's music is freakin awesome. Go see him live if you dont think he's good.. he's got quite a bit of God given talent. But this song is symbolism. If you watch the music video, It's Mat (who died) and he's comforting this girl... it looked like a random girl to me. But that symbolized Jesus (God) always being there for us. And the girl felt Jesus' presence right then in her time of need.
