i think this song is about falling in love with a girl for the first time, and wanting to tell the world about it. the lines "she says she needs a priest, wants to get closer to god" mean to me that the girl she fell in love with is'nt ready for it (maybe she is religious), but she (the singer) does'nt care about these doubts and just wants to live this love.
