For me this song means you need to be tough but fair and if you say or do something you shouldn't repent because you did it for a reason, Should we look back and justify our behaviour? Maybe we should! and thus reinforce our behaviour and self-esteem. Cause as it is put in one of Depeche Mode's songs "You were guilt like shackles on your feet.." Is it our case? Cheers blokes!
