Chuck Mosley definitely had a good voice for punk. But I think that was the problem, the rest of the band just wasn't punk, and it didn't really work with many songs other than this one.

Without a doubt my favorite genre in music is punk, but Mike Patton suited Faith No More so much better technically that there's just no comparing Mosley to him. I agree mostly with mykal77, when you hear Patton cover this song you realize how badly he outclassed Mosley even at his own game.

It's a pity Mike Patton changed so much over the years though. There were a couple of good tracks on Peeping Tom, but half the time he tries so hard to be strange that his music ends up lame, and it's annoying to listen to knowing how much talent he has. He's just gone way over the top but I guess that's his schtick now.

As for the meaning of this song, I think it's about people who get caught up in the news and go on a morality rampage to place themselves on a moral high ground, so they feel superiority & self worth. Or alternatively, I think it could be about apathy in our society.
