This song is about modern day organized Christianity, and it is chock full of metaphors, not all of which I understand... favorite line is "There's a big pile of innocent bones still holding up the garden wall", because it seems to say, what price did we pay for what we have today? How many innocent people have been slaughtered in the name of god and christ, in order for the church to exist? That's kind of what this song is about for me.
yeah. agreed. That is actually why i left the church over a year ago. Then I came across Messianism. They seem a little more real, and can point to His Word for almost everything they do, at least in my congregation.
