You know, I think this song is about someone in a relationship (let's say a girl singing to her boyfriend).. She loves him as a person, loves their relationship, but knows that something is missing... and yet he keeps trying to hold on to her, because he loves her so much... Eventually the relationship ends - or while it is ending - she's singing to him... "you're still holding my heart, you come crashing down". She knows he is aching for her and the eventual lost relationship... and it hurts her all the same, because he knows everything about her. She wishes she could go back to the way it was when it all began, when it was simple.
