This is a sarcastic ironic slamming of normal culture's perception of the modern spiritual seeker. It's saying why do they put us down when we're looking for the alternatives to their artificial war-driven society? It's also a crazy psychedelic electric bluegrass romp that's killer to dance to. I like to listen to Ian Dury's "Dance of the Crackpots" right after this tune.

I think that in this song, one civilization talks to another.

This civilzation are beings who think they are less evolved than the human race, which is far from perfect...

They want to be like us but don't realize we do everything wrong: "Now while you're here can you advise us, On a war we'd like to start, Against some scarecrows over there, a different shade?"

The actual "Scarecrow people" are the human race, but it doesn't necessarily mean that the other civilization is better than us (they think they need to resemble us).
