but this song really hits home for me for some reason.
i personally think the singer is talking about showing someone that they are both feeling the same way about eachother. the 2 have probubly stopped hanging around with eachother like they used to, after finding out that they are starting to fall in love. and now, the singer relizes that their kidding themselves thinking that they can only be friends or even be even less then friends because the feelings between them are strong.
and then, when he refers to being lucky to find cardboard in an alleyway that I can call home, its because he dosent feel like he has anywhere he belongs ever since they stopped being who they actually were.
and then he says tht he wont be alone at home, meaning tht the only place he is truely home is with her, and tht she cant turn her back on him, because they are truely in love. and they have to stop kidding themselves
