Using the mythological figure Cassandra, they were able to build a song that shows her predicting the future, but being hated for it, having no one believe her. Coincidentally, the song could be taken in modern times with destruction and all that, but in Ancient Greek times, the same shit existed. Really, you can place the "destruction, ignorance, and hatred" themes at any time in history, and they would easily fit in. We may just look at it as a modern equivalent since we, you know, live now...and not back then.
