I've heard a lot of people tell me that "I and I" usually is used to illustrate some kind of relationship between God and man. Anyways, Bono across the board paints a picture of the celebrity life. Then he asks God for some elevation. He asks God to live him up out of the blues. Cliche? Yeah, maybe, but it fits.
