Lyric discussion by Whisper Goodbyes

This is a powerful song. In my opinion, Johnny's right - this song is about a person who ends up finding himself in hell.

"I have put myself here I am the culprit"

Really says a lot about the hopelessness of the situation. (s)he understands he put himself there and now he's certain he won't escape.

When he says the line, "Now I see things from the outside," I think he's trying to say that he recognizes all of the things he's done more clearly because he's gained a different perspective.

And since "home" is a theme throughout the CD, I believe the line, "And I will sit here with no place in mind," conveys that he's lost his home and has no where left to go, which is why he can't escape.

"This is so unfamiliar to me" gives me chills. In church, they said that when we see Jesus we'll recognize his face and he will be familiar to us. I believe that he's disappointed because he doesn't see any of what he had expected to gain.

"It's so easy when it's pulling me under," in some ways, we're all being pulled towards hell. And without his feet on the floor, he's lost the path he meant to follow.

Amazing song.
