It's about the power people in love have over their significant others imho. I mean, whether you're a man or a woman, when you love someone, you basically have their hearts in your hands, you have SO much power over them. You can love them, give them all, of course, do lots of things for them, but you can also break them (as in break their spirit and heart) cos you know them well. If you want, you could destroy them whether with words or through your actions cos you'd "know what to do". You have that power much power and if you decide to use it, you could really hurt someone.
That said, I love this song. It's so touching: it shows how great and all encompassing and yet sometimes dangerous Love can be.
