When i hear it, it makes feel like he is throwing me a 'rubber ring' to save me from drowning through music. Also, it sounds like he himself is crying out for help. When he says 'Can you hear me?' it almost makes me want to shout YES! And to clear his doubts of any 'fake' listeners that he may be scared of.
