I of course agree with everyone that this song is amazing but gman i interpreted it differently... i kind of thought maybe he cheated on her and felt really guilty because well when shes saying "cheating lovers" and "none of us were angels and you know i love you" i just kind of thought she was saying its okay don't lose your head i forgive you and she kind of says that when she says "its ok by me it was a long time ago"

I'm still going through with my boyfriend exactly what the singer is expressing (her side of the story anyway), and the moment I read the lyrics to this song I thought of him. It's a fantastic song that a lot of people may not truly understand, in the sense that if their partner cheated on them, they would say "I don't love you anymore, get out of my life", that sort of thing, unlike the person the singer is displaying.
