oh, this song is soooo great...
but it's still got that bittersweetness to it,
like humans are too painful (as well as unpredictable) and loving one can get you in all sorts of trouble. plus, i think when the remark is made "stranger things have been loved" i think it is meant that stranger things have gotten in the way of love (money, greed, pettiness, etc. etc.) or been used as a distraction to make someone forget about love (money, drugs, etc. etc.). this song is so great.
