Gerald Eaton and his wife have been together for a long time. He has stated in an interview that he has loved her since he was 16. I come from a similar relationship. I met my husband when I was 16, he loved me and he patiently waited for seven years for me to realize he was IT. He was my best friend, he stuck by me when no one else would and eventually I fell in love with him. We've been together - as a couple - for 10 years now. We have six children. Our life is never easy, never runs smoothly - never seems to let up.

Castles In The Sand means everything to me. To me, it is the story of my life. My husband and I and family build something and we feel like everything is finally going wonderfully - but inevitably - because that is the way life is - something happens and knocks us off our feet. But, it doesn't matter because we just take hands and keep going - we rebuild and rebuild and rebuild. What we build is beautiful - a castle - a castle in the sand. Unstable, uncertain.

Everytime we get knocked down we grow a little closer and we get a little stronger.

To me, Castles in the Sand is what life - and true love - is all about. Being in it together - for the long haul - sustaining each other through the trials and struggles we all face. Being happy - no matter how hard things get - because you're together and that is what counts.
