what's this about making this a wedding song?

don't kill me for saying this, but I don't think this song's about love ... I think it's about settling, making the best out of what you've got. The line "i'd rather be working for a paycheck than waiting to win the lottery" sums it up for me. You ever want to find love so bad that you'll try to make it work with anyone? The line, "besides this time may be different / i mean, i think you really like me" shows he's attempted this before.

But hey, without the last stanza this song would be an ode to love and the realization that you're in it. Me? I'm hesitant to take the words at face value (we are talkin' Conor Oberst here).
