Why is rock music better?
First and foremost, most rock songs have meaning which has nothing to do with sex, love, or breakups. You'll notice that any pop singers (who don't go bimbo) with real depth (Kelly Clarkson comes to mind) have rock in their songs. And when pop gets a singer with morals, she soon turns into a hoe (think Jessica Simpson.)
That said, this is probably Beyonce's best song (Jay-Z sucks, though.) Though the way she sang the chorus made it seem as if she was zooming towards some big climax which never came.
And have you noticed that music videos by Evanescence and Kelly Clarkson have meaning, while music videos by Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson (and R&B artists) have skinny girls dancing around half-naked?
