Lyric discussion by cellordore

This song is by far the most beautiful songs off their first CD. I was so upset when the lyrics wernt on here, and i couldn't get an official copy of them, so i wrote them my self, so if there are any mistakes let me know and i will do my best to fix them appropriately.

I was captured by this song from the get go. There is a painting by Van Gogh called "Crows in the Wheatfield" and the crows are flying out of a wheatfield and basically splitting the sky. Other than this is during the day and the song depicts the night, the real resemblance is that this painting was the last painting Van Gogh did before his death. I guess all good thing must come to an end.

You are on the right track with the painting idea. At the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha, there is a painting entitled "Spreading The Evening Sky With Crows" by Nebraska artist known for his skyscapes, Keith Jacobshagen. Lullaby were/are from Omaha/Lincoon, NE, and this sense of place is reflected in many of their songs.

The actual meaning of the song: the mutability of each moment in life.
