I hate to hear Daron slated for his singing and they say he sucks in this! But i strongly disagree! He isn't the best singer in the world but he is good! His voice just fits the song and it makes it feel more personal.
I could be, as the title suggests, a Lonely Day but i thought it could be away from a partner and away from everyone and isolated from the world. ''and if you go....etc.'' sounds like he is talking to a partner. But considering it goes into Soldierside, it could be related to the war and that you feel lonely in the trenches or what ever. Depends on your view i suppose...
