Yep, this is definitely the Iliad. No one's commented on the two most obvious referneces (to me). "She's like the sunrise, outshines the moon at night..." The most beautiful woman in the world, Helen, the face that launched a thousand ships. And "Good choice? Bad choice? Out of three You`ve chosen misery Power and wisdom You deny Bad choice" Refers to the choice Paris made between Athena, Hera, and Aphrodite, which sealed the fate of Troy where he chose being married to the 'most beautiful woman in the world' over fame and fortune. It's all blatantly obvious, heh. And yes, the "Reveng will be taken by Rome" thing IS from the Aeneid, to look. It's literally spelled out in the song. (More rehashing, I know.) It's one of my favourites by Blind Guardian, which is my favourite band.
