If the choices you have made and the path you have chosen to take, bring you to a sad and pathetic place, like the one described in this song, then that is the life you have made for yourself. We all have free will and we can all make ourselves.
We all make mistakes but if you let your mistakes make you a failure and you don't try to rise above them then , in my opinion, you are setting out to be a loser.
