" lovely girl, you're the murder in my world dressing coffins for the souls I've left behind "

  • That is one of my favorite lines in a song ever. I was intrigued to see what everyone thought about this song, and I am not surprised to see that the song doesn't appear to have an "official" meaning.

Some people have said that they think that this song is about a destructive relationship, citing lines like " You'll always be my whore " and " drinking mercury..." And I think that that is valid, but I see it as perhaps a relationship between two people who are ... "strange", for lack of a better word. In this union of two quirky people, the things others would see as destructive, as abusive, they see as a normal expression of their love. -Everybody has a soul mate. I love this song.
