I think you might be onto something shadow. I can see the whole obsessive behaviour. Maybe there was some infidelity on the spouses part. Husband wants her to know that he knows and kills her, then himself to bring them closer. But the smiling ocean and waving mountain i can't seem to fit in to this line of thinking. Maybe there is no real specific meaning just put out there for the individual to interpret in his or her own way
