I hope I'm not overanalyzing this. but this song always seemed dark to me and the name: "Ashes To Ashes" makes me think it's about some obsessive lover who wants to kill his spouse and then suicide. just an opinion though. he is stating he is about to do something bad "I want them to know it's me" - "I'll point the finger at me" and says he will give everything to her to be closer and wants her to do the same.
but i could be wrong, and it could be about anything and about nothing. you can never no with Mike Patton and that's why we love him ;)
