I think any other song writer would have a hard time getting away with using the word "blue" so much, and rhyming his lyrics like this. But with Conor it's such a change, and his great writing ability shines through it all. I don't think there's any overbearing meaning, just that it's ok no matter who you are as long as you're true to yourself.
