I think it speaks about the desperation he feels when the girl he loves doesn't know he exists. The "watch you in your room" line is taken the wrong way by too many people; he can't get her to notice him, so he wishes he could see her when she was alone to learn who about who she really is and what she thinks, so that he could make a profession of love. It's a play on the word "invisible."
