Man, Muse is the best band of all time, I've been a long time fan of theirs.
Well, I think this is my favorite song on the album, and that's a feat, given that every single song is incredible. Personally, I believe that the song is about a rebirth of sorts. It's definitely about a relationship, one of long-standing. But I believe that it hasn't ended, it's just changed in some way or another. I always thought of it as a relationship that started to fall apart, until something forced the two of them to change, which brings a new light to their love. Lines like "I'll love whatever you've become," and "making the same mistakes again," seem to point out a reevaluation, perhaps a destruction of the past: "nothing will ever stay the same," "memories I will never find."
In any case, it's pure brilliance, makes me want to cry every time I hear it. Powerful stuff, no matter how you interpret it.
