I'm reluctant to say that "Silver and Cold" has a relatively sexual meaning to me.

It reminds me of something a church-going friend of mind said. She said, "it's an old belief that when you have sex with someone, you're taking in their sins and they're taking in yours." Hense, "Your sins into me..." and also

"I will lift up your voice as I sink..." -Pretty self-explainatory

"As a rapturous voice escapes..." Also kinda self-explainatory

"You, in somber resplendence, I hold..." If you know what "somber" and "resplendence" mean, this part explains itself as well...

But I don't know... that's what it means to me. It's still a beautiful song, nevertheless. It probably isn't what Davey was thinking about, seeing how he's not Christian and that's probably an old Christian belief... but I'm entitled to my opinion, right?

And being sXe means no CASUAL sex... nothing about monogamy.
