She is comparing a boy to a pill. She has just been with this guy, not for the first time. She is saying all the times before its been like a high... but now this time it was a "bad trip" meaning she got a bad pill and she isnt reacting to it the same. She is saying that this guy has been like a drug to her, and so far spending time with him has been like a high but now its getting old, and she feels addicted.
