  1. recurrent and intrusive distressing recollections of the event, including images, thoughts or perceptions;
  2. recurrent distressing dreams of the event;
  3. acting or feeling as if the traumatic event were recurring (eg reliving the experience, illusions, hallucinations, and dissociative flashback episodes, including those on wakening or when intoxicated);
  4. intense psychological distress at exposure to internal or external cues that symbolise or resemble an aspect of the traumatic event;
  5. physiological reactivity on exposure to internal or external cues that symbolise or resemble an aspect of the traumatic event.

@bill hicks I know it's been awhile since you wrote this analysis, but I just joined and am seeing this for the first time. I think you have an amazing amount of insight. Neil Young is deep and every verse in every song of his has meaning. There's no randomness here and certainly not an effort to be "cool" as Mrtuck suggests. Thank you for taking the time to give a thoughtful analysis.
