Razia's Shadow: A Musical is an album that was released October 28, 2008 from the band Forgive Durden Razia's Shadow is a musical featuring members of prevalent bands like Say Anything, The Dear Hunter, The Matches, Saves the Day and Panic at the Disco, among others. Razia’s Shadow was written by Forgive Durden’s frontman Thomas Dutton, and his brother, Paul Dutton. The Fuel By Ramen productions page depict the story as “The album tells the story of a world divided in two by the selfish actions of a powerful and egotistical, yet insecure angel. After generations of darkness, the world is eventually brought back together by the love and sacrifice of a couple brave enough to fulfill their destinies”
The story of Razia’s Shadow really is very deep and as you listen to each song, you become more enticed and eagar to hear the next song; the next part of the story. The lyrics to each song genuinely explain the plot and the music commands you.
You really can’t just listen to just one song on the album. For, it is a story, and only hearing one section of it wouldn’t be sensible. One song leads to the next, and the whole album just connects. Although Razia’s Shadow is yet to be a live musical, the album is all you need to really experience Dutton’s genius.
