I used to be such a sweet, sweet thing
Until they got a hold of me
I opened doors for little old ladies
I helped the blind to see
I got no friends 'cause they read the papers
They can't be seen with me and I'm getting shot down
And I'm feeling mean
No more Mister Nice Guy
No more Mister Clean
No more Mister Nice Guy
They say he's sick , he's obscene
I got no friends 'cause they read the papers
They can't be seen with me and I'm getting shot down
And I'm feeling mean
My dog bit me on leg today
My cat clawled my eye
My mom's been thrown out of society circle
My dad's had to hide
I went to church incognito
When everybody rose, the Reserved Smith
He recognized me
Punched me in the nose

Song Meaning:First Mom's been kicked out of the social circle and second it isn't reserved smith, it is the Reverend Simply recognized me.

This was a song about how the media and the bible belt were completely misunderstanding him and blowing it way the F#$^ out of proportion. He was doing nothing more then attempting to put on a stage show that incorporated lots of stuff from horror movies and what not, something like a horror concert and the media and people knowing nothing of him made him out to be some sort of devil worshiper without even realizing he was actually brought up with a strong Christian background and yeah he might have been getting a little wild, he really was a fairly nice guy, not the character they saw on stage.

Song Meaning:It's about a guy who is incredibly nice and an otherwise very good person, but people treat him like scum because he's different than them.
In the chorus, he comes out and says that he's not going to take it anymore, and he's just going to burst out and become everything they expect him to be. Of course, he wouldn't do that, but he's saying he should.

General Comment:Very good song... First Cooper song I've heard, and loved it ever since. The Megadeath cover on their Hidden Treasures album is cool too

General Comment:Simple meaning. Alice was a nice guy but kept getting raked over the coals in the media and churches for being satanic and he just had enough of it.

He also makes references to the backlash his parents get from his entertaining. He realizes that nice guys really do finish last.

    Kick ass jam.

General Comment:Such a great song and now it makes me think of the Family Guy episode where they spoof Dazed And Confused.
