Lyrics for Youth Attack! as interpreted by xJoeBoothx

Youth Attack! Lyrics
We're tired of being your fucking commodity, retouching your faces obsessed with your bodies, listen - the tapped well's destined to stay dry so give it up and hear our fucking battle cry: As adult oblivion beckons, now's the time for a YOUTH ATTACK!
Treat me like a kid - it's what I fucking am. Plastic surgery cant hide the fact that grown-ups aren't my friends you fucking old bastards I know you wanna be me ...ha ha! How old are you anyway? 23?! As adult oblivion beckons now's the time for a YOUTH ATTACK!
These days are going fast so don't look back cause before you know it your bald and fat. Fear of crow's feet and spare tires spawned this tide of youth that's surging in me cuz I don't wanna be 30. So fuck your maturity. When the scab of youth has been picked the scar of maturity will set in, and then you're dead!

Charles Bronson is an awesome band! The best lyrics of any crust band (except maybe Antischism) and definitely the most energetic.

by the way, charles bronson isn't crust, and antischism is a bit more grind.

they were sXe? at the end of one of their live songs the vocalist tells the audience "its cool if you throw shit, just dont hit our beers. its our fuel man." i dont know what your definition is of sXe, but if drinking beer is ok.. then i must be sXe now too.

Charles Bronson wasn't a sXe band, although some of their members were. I wondered the same thing, so asked the drummer, Ebro, about that at a Punch In The Face show...

they started out mainly sxe but over time stopped giving a shit since either some members sold out or they got new members that weren't sxe.

you dudes all have your shit mixed up.

Charles Bronson was totally not a crust band. They hated crust, and thought crust was dumb. They even made a song about how stupid spolied rich crust kids are [Rich Crusties Shall Pay].
Charles Bronson was a Power Violence band. Power Violence is a more evolved, more brutal hardcore that developed in the early 90's. Spazz and Charles Bronson were two real big bands in the Power Violence scene.
Oh and by the way, all of them were straight edge also. Don't you guys know their lyrics? There's song's and shit about straight edge.

Charles Bronson was not Crust, Thrash, or Powerviolence. They hated Crust, had nothing to do with Thrash, and called Powerviolence the new band wagon of the 90's. If you read interviews with them, they only got together to play Hardcore, and that's what they did. They started out to play DC hardcore, hence the first 10 or so songs of their discography, and then they ended up playing harder when they heard Voorhees.

Yes, I like Scott Baio Army, they are good.

Mark McCoy, the singer of Charles Bronson, is in Das Oath.

Well that's obvious, I just think there's differnt genres of hardcore, and everything powerviolence is characterized by - charles bronson was, reguardless if they called themselves powerviolence or not, they still played the music. I really like the way they evolved with their sound though, how in the early years they sounded like older 80's thrashier kind of hardcore then into more brutal shit with sweet break downs and blast beats. I love both, but I think i'd prefer the later.

I have this Charles Bronson/Quill split, and there's one part where it's like '5 things you didnt know about charles bronson' and number 2 says:

dropdead = ulcer. infest = lack of interest. charles bronson = discharge.

I thought that was sweet. I love discharge. The original shit anyways. anyone wh really listens to charles bronson, will know who those other bands are, also.

and yeah, it suckls mark mccoy is in "das oath" now. they're a fucking joke now. mark mccoy is a total shithead, he acts like the cockiest fucking rock star asshole. he says that charles bronson was something he did "when he was a kid" what the fuck does that mean? he would never say that shit before. reading the lyrics to "youth attack!" and "charles bronson will not turn into a ____ band" is really funny because if you look at those, than look at mark mccoy now - it's a total contradiction. he's a fucking walking gap advertisment. i mean the music is cool and shit, i really like the way it sounds, but i can't listen to bands filled with a bunch of fucking assholes, especially when one is a total hypocrite.
As adult oblivion beckons, now's the time for a YOUTH ATTACK!
