i think this song is about a guy and a girl being boyfriend/girlfriend and they have problems and don't know who to look for advice. but they drift apart cause they couldn't work out their problems and how the guy can't have someone replace her because he still has feelings for her.

i love this song, i'm not really sure what all of the lyrics mean, but they are personal. its a hella long song, but i think that makes it better and i love how the tempo changes all the time, great song.

The riff in this kicks ass! its the most incredible song and the video is sooo powerful. Axls voice on this is amazing.

I think UseYourIllusion has it pretty much. Axl (or the person in the song) feels isolated and alone after losing his one and only love, and he can't find a way to get back on to the land. What a great song. It's not one of my favorite GNR songs, but the lyrics are VERY good, I can sort of relate.

I love this song because it's a song thats really all about axl. He wrote this song after his wife had a miscarrage and after having his marriage anulled. Axl is a manic depressant so any emotional trama effects him 100 times more than anyone else and i think he expressed that very well in this song.

This is my fave g n r song, both the music and lyrics r so powerful. I think its about losing the one person u thought wud b with you through it all and feeling there is nowhere left to turn. Axl's voice is amazing and it rly adds feling to this song.

Vh1 said this was one of the most awesomely bad metal songs ever. When i heard this i wanted to kill Vh1. It doesnt matter cause this song rocks and Vh1 sucks.

An incredible song, close to being my fave GNR one.

Estranged = having lost someones love/affection.

Perfect guitar/piano/lyrics to sum that confused emotional feeling up.

I saw that show. They had a lot of good songs on there. But they were just so pissed because they had November Rain on there because of that they already had a ballad. VH1 can fuck off on that. They didn't have any metal bands on there to talk about it because I know they would feel differently about the matter. It was just a bunch of washed up comedians and actors.

well on the 92 tokyo tour...before starting the song said "this songs sorta like a walk in the park" what i think he meant by that was maybe how its like u see the good things and the bad things in life, i guess this song reflects that...mainly the bad. but this is my 2nd favourite song ever....its awesome, if u havnt heard it, its well worth that u do

This song is about Axl and his wife splitting up. So he is at home alone...when you're talking to yourself and nobodys home.....

This song is the perfect rock n roll song. Every note, every solo, every hidden piano note. EVERYTHING. Nothing will ever top this song. Good job killing the band, Axl you dick!

This is one of the best Gun's N Roses song because it's is so deep and the lyrics are so emotional (I prefer it lyrics-wise to November Rain or Don't cry).

I love when he says:
And you don't talk so loud
and you don't walk so proud

It shows the influence Bob Dylan has on Axl and the rest of the band because it's almost the same two sentences as the ones in LIKE A ROLLING STONES.
I have seen this song on DVD from the TOKYO 92' and I love the way he introduces the song and when he says: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN ON THE KEYBOARDS MR. DIZZY REID.....hehehe

It's too bad that velvet revolver's have no piano player because it is one of the key elements in the success of GUN'S N ROSES.
