the film clip is based on a short story called "without you" it a great read, and you could almost picture axl as the char..
look it up i dont have an url on me.

I'm not much of a Guns N Roses fan but I really like this song. The lyrics are so sad but also inspiring at the same time: "We still can find a way 'Cause nothin' lasts forever even cold November rain" It's like he's saying to look past the darkness and sadness in your life because it won't last forever because nothing does last forever, not even cold November rain. Great guitar solo and I really love the piano too...

November rain is a awsome song, the version they did on live era was awsome, Slash is awsome he is one sweet ass guitar player and so is izzy Guns n roses rock the world over at it was a shame axl tried to take over and the band walked off.

WOOOOO burst of inspiration...."It's hard to hold the candle in the cold november rain"...that line to me means that its hard to keep the fire in a relationship burning if its going through hard times, "november rain"......also sometimes when there is too much of someone of you spend too much time with them it gets old and you need space a little! When the love is restrained, you are worried of giving too much of yourself away, i know i feel that way in relationships, being hury before it is hard to let it go! but one of my favorite quotes states "love like you've never been hurt!" thats hard to do, but if you dont then you arent giving it all you have, and if you dont do that then the relationship wont last because of doubts. One great theory i have heard is that love is like a triangle, like putting two card against each other, the weight has to be equal otherwise it wont work and the "love" will be destroyed, if there is too much love on one side of the relationship then the love wont last forever, not even in cold november rain! When your fears are gone, you know that they were once their and you cant help but think about those...people are always out to put the blame on others or other things...everyone needs excuses sometimes, just so they have a reason not to love or give all of themselves to one person. I know a lot of people that think they need someone, somtimes that is all you dont need, but other times its just what you need. I LOVE THIS SONG, its one of the best love songs i've ever heard, and its great when a band like Guns N'Roses can pull it off without being too sappy and still having that edge! This song is a totaly clasic, no doubt about that! well i think i've written enough...probably made all of you bored! so tootels for now!

This song is about an off and on relationship where they truely love each other but have problems to work out, its so phenomenal, i love this song one of the best !

If anyone actually took the time to read Del James short story that this song is written about, you'd see that it's about a depressed woman and the man who loves her. At least, that's what the video is about 'cause she shoots herself (in the video & in the story).

I love this song SO much, but what I love the most about it is the guitar solo at the end. I can listen to it over and over and not get sick of it. This song inspired me to learn how to play guitar!

The majority of the song with the guitar/piano combo is simply beautiful. The best piece of music I have ever heard. The last minute and a half is really cool but doesn't go with the song very well. Anyone suppose what the end means?

I think that the ending is somewhat elluding to the fact that, they can make it through whatever tough time in their relationship that they may have had..and adding to that possibly that everyone needs somebody to share their life with, and why not have it be them, together, why can't they have each other...maybe that is what he's getting at?!

This is the best song ever written! (of course apart from civil war and sweet child o' mine). Ok GUITARGOD612, the song is based on a story called without you which the guy who wrote it based it on Axl and a former girlfriend. tomyamamoto, why the hell are you even on this is you think GNR's are crap, go do whatever you do. and a poof is a gay bloke!

When the song sounds like it's about the end, and it reprises then the final guitar solo, I get chills everytime.

whatever u guys. i think its obvious its about change. November rain is a metaphor for change. in the first half of the song he says he wants be alone and shit, then it changes and he is saying everybody needs somebody.

PS WHY THE FUCK DOES THE GUY DIVE THROUGH THE WEDDING CAKE JUST TO ESCAPE THE RAIN?

As someone said earlier, when slash is walking out of the alter when axl is getting married, i know how that feels and it fucking hurts, the song is without doubt my fav of all time,its so inspiring and uplifting, theres so many lines which you can remember and gain strength from, im surprised at the amount of people who have said that theyve sent it to people saying "this is how i feel at the minute" i thought i was the only one! its fantastic to know so many other people feel the same way about the song, november rain is the best song of all time.

IMO - it is about two people in love both holding back complete love of each other due to some doubts and fears or maybe being hurt in the past and the future is not known. He feels they should talk about it and lay it all out- be truthful and that could make their love stronger.
