i love this song and the video. i love it when axl and steph are in the park and the limos and cars for a funeral or something and axl stares, and i like the part where slash and his gf are speeding in the car and losing control, and axl singing :), so many good stuff in the vid.

Anyways, i think the song is very beautiful, and is about a relationship definitely, like they're about to break up or maybe he's leaving to go somewhere important.. a lot of these Gunner lyrics can help you through life IMO. (in my opinion) - Illusion

I saw an interview with Axl and he said that he had fallen in love with someone's girlfriend and he told her and she shot him down. He just started to cry and she was like "dont cry dont cry" over and over......

This song is pretty cool. I like it. I used to think it sucked but the more I listened to it the more I liked it. Its sort of a sad song, although I've never had the urge to cry when I heard it.

I really love this song but I can hardly listen to it without crying, with ironic disregard for the title...a friend of mine told me to download cause he couldn't believe that I had never heard it before and quite frankly I don't know how I hadn't either - its just so amazing!

I would like to know who wrote the majority of the lyrics. Obviously it's about a guy dieing and leaving his girlfriend behind... but I don't know why they wrote it. Someone said that Axl wrote after he beat his girlfriend up... if this is so, then maybe he wrote it to signify that he wishes he was dead because of what he did. That would explain the whole death theme of the film clip.
