Lyrics for Welcome To The Jungle as interpreted by mike

Welcome To The Jungle Lyrics
Welcome to the jungle
We got fun 'n' games
We got evrything you want
Honey we know the names
We are the people that can find
Whatever you may need
If you got the money honey
We got your disease
Chorus:
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your knees, knees
I wanna watch you bleed
Welcome to the jungle
We take it day by day
If you want it you're gonna bleed
But it's the price you pay
And you're a very sexy girl
That's very hard to please
You can taste the bright lights
But you won't get them for free
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Feel my, my serpentine
I, I wanna hear yous-cream
Welcome to the jungle
It gets worse here evryday
Ya learn ta live like an animal
In the jungle where we play
If you got a hunger for what you see
You'll take it eventually
You can have anything you want
But you better not take it from me
Chorus
And when you're high you never
Ever want to come down, YEAH!
You know where you are
You're in the jungle baby
You're gonna die
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your knees, knees
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Feel my, my serpentine
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your knees, knees
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your
It's gonna bring you down
Ha!

Slash and Axl are both great, it's not like they were arguin over whose better, at least not back then. but whoever says Slash is the greatest guitarist is ded wrong. how can you put Slash over Eddie Van Halen? seriously, it would blow my mind you could say anything against that.

"Please just say 'Freaking' or 'Fricking' because kids do look at this site. Thank you."
I'm pretty sure that childern shouldnt even be looking at Guns 'N Roses lyrics. I think the song probably has to do with the underworld of L.A., prostitution, sex, and drugs, but thats already been said.

Some very thought-provoking posts here, but I agree mostly with Mr Brightside's observation about comparing band members. Anyone who saw Axl Rose's performance at the '04 MTV music awards show knows this recent version of Gn'R is nowhere near as great as the original line-up was. Slash, Izzy, and Duff were equally as important to the band's sound and image as Axl Rose was (not as sure about Steven Adler--Matt Sorum is a much better drummer, I think). Anyway, Axl probably was the greatest rock frontman ever, he just let it all go to his head

I know it's about when Axl Rose first came to LA a old man who lived on the street came to him and said Do you know where you are? you're in the jungle baby, you're gonna die... then Guns n roses wrote a song about LA .... ;)

Great song! I think it's about the fakeness of L.A/Hollywood, gambling, prostitution, dugs, sex, and rock n roll.

Axl write this track about moving from Lafyette to L.A.. The line "You know where you are?? You in the Jungle baby, wake up, time to die" is something an old black dude yelled in the street the very first time Axl arrived in L.A. Axl always said thats what L.A. is, a jungle.
I doubt the Vietnam War theory, nothing in the track or the video or anything the guys have said ties in with this. It's more about the biggest, hardest Rock n Roll city in the world, and the little country hicks arriving in.

Hey at the start of the video, the bum trying to sell shit to Axl is actually Izzy, lots of people don't realize so when watching the video i feel obligated to jump up and down yelling "THAT'S IZZY!! THAT'S IZZY!!" just to inform everyone within a two mile radius lol!

mrs_brownstone is right about the guy shouting that line at him but i think this song is making fun of him a bit about how he went too far shouting "YOU'RE GONNA DIE!"

I was always confused whether "The Jungle" was sex or the city, it seems mixed... maybe sex in the city? lol I don't know but I love the song and it seems to be loved by the radio stations I listen to...

It's about how life in the underbelly isn't all it's cracked up to be. Kill or be killed, the law of the jungle is the law of the land.

It is so OBVIOUSLY about life in the big city.. the first verse tells you that:

Welcome to the jungle
We got fun 'n' games
We got evrything you want
Honey we know the names
We are the people that can find
Whatever you may need
If you got the money honey
We got your disease
