Tonight
It's revolution
Tonight
We're going to war, we're going to war, we're going
Tonight
You better make a decision
Tonight
We're going to war, we're going to war

I'm not a partriot
I'm not illegal
I'm not a fugitive
I'm an American

I think you need some education
I think you need some thought control
Tonight
There is a situation
Tonight
It's the end of the world, it's the end of the world, it's the end of
Tonight
We take control of the nation
Tonight
We take control of the world

I'm not a patriot
I'm not illegal
I'm not a fugitive
I'm an American

I'm not a patriot
I'm not illegal
I'm not a fugitive
I'm an American

come lets crush these weak defenses
lets all lose out self-control
we will fight the false pretenses
and break the arm that has the a hold
lets crush the opposition
and let us not do what we're told
we can kill the competition
and break the face off of the mold

I'm not a patriot
I'm not illegal
I'm not a fugitive
I'm an American, I'm an American

I'm not a patriot
I'm not illegal
I'm not a fugitive
I'm an American

I'm an American
I'm an American

I think you need some education
I think you need some thought control

General Comment:as the illuminati. Don't just listen to me. take it upon your self and do some research to find out that the music you are supporting, is basically flaunting it in our faces that we are all under mind control. Please resarch this shit. It is not a joke. Educate yourelf about this matter. This song is right about one thing: This world, as we know it, will end soon if we dont WAKE UP from this madness. We are letting MTV FOX News CNN and basically just about every other major media coorperation control every aspect of our lives, and you arent realizing its even happening. Its absolutely fucking disturbing. WAKE UP America. or we are all fucked

General Comment:Look up the illuminati. This song is the direct portrayal of the illuminati. Basically, we are all fucked. I don't feel like explaining this to a bunch of 30 seconds to mars fans, but i seriously suggest that everyone should STOP listening to any music that comes on/from MTV. This band flashes symbols all throughout their videos. Symbols of the secret society that is controlling the media/music industry. The secret society known

General Comment:yeh i agree the lyrics are wrong i think rabbithowl makes a good point with the blurring between being an american and un-american. i just think it's a kick ass song for when you're pissed off at politics/politicians!

General Comment:The lyrics to Revolution are intentionally vague in the chorus, blurring the line between what it is to be an American, and to be unAmerican.

But it's not until the subtlety is gone that the revolution will have finally begun.

General Comment:Well I don't have it. I used to be able to find it on their myspace, but now that their new cd is out I can't anymore. Is there any way besides Limewire or Napster that I can get this song?

General Comment:This is one of thier unreleased tracks. So technically you're not supposed to have it...and yet, we all do.

I love this song. The guitars are awesome. They said they didn't put it on the record because "people take things too literally."
