Where does your garden grow?
Tell me the secrets that you know
Another time, another place (place)
Where are the holy ones?

Selling the secret to the Sun
Welcome to the Universe

Cross the line, redefine
Lose your mind, come crawl inside

[Chorus]
Hey, hey, what do you got?
Doesn't matter to me 'cause I don't want it
I'm not the only one

The unified divide
Among and then deny
Now could you kindly cut to the chase?
It's like some other song
Pretty, but something's always wrong
Show me the secret ancient sign

Selling the secret to the Sun
Welcome to the Universe

[Chorus: x2]

See, it's in your eyes
Come break me down
Come break me

[Chorus: x2]

Hey, what do you got?

I like the way it has some phrases from their other songs like:

"Another time, another place" (End of the Beginning)

"Welcome to the Universe" (Welcome to the Universe [whatta surprise!])

    "The unified divide" (Oblivion)

    Great song

To me this verse is about a foreigner from a far away country ex:Russian that made a deal with a native ex:American and the "Russian" is asking the "American" about confidential information to the nation.
The confidential information will be shared in "another time, another place".
Then Jared Leto asks the retorical question: "Where are the holy ones?" then he answers : "selling the secret to the sun" and the sun is the "Russian" which lives many miles away.

This is my interpretation of the song-

Hope I could help anyone understand it better-

General Comment:this song to me is about how humans are so selfish and how they will do anything for themselves.

    Where does your garden grow?
Tell me the secrets that you know
    Another time, another place
    Where are the holy ones?
Selling the secret to the sun
    Welcome to the Universe

this verse makes me think about how a person will do what it takes to get ahead of someone else in life.
even the line, "where are the holy ones? Selling the secret to the sun" seems to be saying that even these people that profess to be huge religious people will even tell your secret if it saves face or gets them ahead in life. Then the "Welcome to the Universe" line seems to be said in a sarcastic tone.

General Comment:i absolutely love this song.
i believe that its talking about how pathetic the human race has become.. and how unfair and sad life is. its about the harsh realities that nobody wants to face.
    my favorite line is
    'Where are the holy ones?
Selling the secret to the sun'

i couldnt say it any better.

General Comment:Infinitie's comment about Mars being 155 million miles from the Sun is true but maybe Jared is talking about the Earth in this song becuase Earth is 93 million miles from the Sun?

General Comment:the deadsy reference was actually a result of a small fued between 30 seconds to mars and deadsy. or they were changed to "it's like some other song" (which, frankly, makes no sense) because of that fued. the former is more likely. ;)
