Drink up baby doll
Mmm are you in or out
Leave your things behind
'Cause it's all going off without you
Excuse me
Too busy
Oh, writing your tragedy
These mishaps
You bubble wrap
When you've no idea what you're like

(So let go) so let go
Jump in
Oh well whatcha waiting for
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
(So let go) let go
Just get in
Oh it's so amazing here
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown

It gains the more you give
And it rises with the fall
So hand me that remote
Can't you see that all that stuff's a sideshow
Such boundless pleasure
We've no time for later now
You can't await your own arrival
You've twenty seconds to comply

(So let go) so let go
Jump in
Oh well whatcha waiting for
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
(So let go) yeah let go
Just get in
Oh it's so amazing here
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown

So let go
Jump in
Oh well whatcha waiting for
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
So let go
Jump in
Oh well whatcha waiting for
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown

Mmm the breakdown
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
Hey, the breakdown
So amazing, yeah
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown

General Comment:@going28. you're right about the human experience. Only certain people will only understand what "Letting Go" is. "Letting Go," is not about letting what you hold dearest to you go away forever, but what it really means is to take whatever problem or mishaps you have in life to simply let it go during that moment in time. Because in life there is no reason to get angry, obsessed, jealous, or let any forms of emotion take over our lives. The minuscule things should not determine who you are and what you will become because you simply have so much more beauty inside as a human being.

My Interpretation:I think this song talks about the human experience, dealing with not knowing who or what we truly are regarding our place in the Universe, and "letting go" of what we think we know about ourselves, allowing those safety zone concepts to be dismantled in order to see what we really are, Reality in it's purest form, without our minds trying to tell us how the world really looks. That's terrifying to a lot of people, allowing yourself to accept that you have no idea what's really going on.

It's like a child hanging from a very short cliff, a foot off the ground, but not knowing it. His mother behind him telling him to let go, he'll be safe, but the child's too afraid to because he can't see for himself. The beauty is in his breakdown, allowing himself to surrender and trust the Universe will take care of him, like his mother will. God is his mother, always knowing more about our situation than we do, no matter what our eyes tell us, there's always more going on, and only if we let go of what we think we know, we'll be able to see it. But... :-) ...people are afraid to let go. That's the beauty.

My Interpretation:I believe that the song Let go is trying to convey the building plot of what makes us human, our emotions. Sometimes people bottle up their emotions when in a difficult situation, or period of time. Sometimes we need to "let go" unleash our bottled emotions without knowing exactly what will happen "jump in" or (possibly meaning) leap before look, but we still have the faith that everything will be "alright". And sometimes when we unleash our emotions different things can happen, some people have emotional breakdowns, in a way there is a beauty in the breakdown of human emotion which can be a variety of emotions, like how paintings can have a variety of colors. Basically when we see or experience an emotional breakdown it's beautiful because what we are seeing is the raw definition of what makes human, "the beauty in the breakdown".

General Comment:..so I definitely thought this was an amazing song, and I never saw "Garden State" ..which is apparently how mostly everyone has heard of it.

General Comment:this song stand for life itself. it means that everything is going to have a downside but in the end it'll all work out if you take chances or 'let go'. this song targets the complications of life and tells you that once you stop worrying about unnecessary things then you're life will be much more pleasurable and when facing something, don't hold grudges and dive in, cuz there's beauty in the breakdown.

General Comment:"Hey Yah, Hey Yah! Hey I" "Hey Yah, Hey Yah, Hey I"

This song could be pointing toward the name for God, namely "Yah", "Iah" or "Jah." The "I" may symbolize "I and I," or "Adonai."

Song Meaning:this song reminds me completely of me and my ex-boyfriend...we started dating and then found out he had to move really far away. so i was afraid to love him, but one time after listening to this song with him i decided to let go and just jump in and go for it. it was my first love and i'm glad i stopped holding back.

so this song in my opinion is about a relationship. there's a lot of possible pain, but it's better to just go for it. there's beauty in the breakdown...there is beauty in the pain.

    oh, it's so amazing here...

Song Meaning:I've always loved this song, but I've had an experience recently that has caused me to fall in love with it again. I just wanted to post what this song now means to me.

I've had a falling out with some friends of mine recently, friends I've had for a really long time that I basically grew up with. When we all went our separate ways and went off to college, and I feel like we all grew into different people. While it has never been a problem before this recent scenario resulted in us separating, and I no longer really talk with them... However, I've realized that they are just angry people, and always seem to be irritated or mad about something. I feel like I've grown up and can accept whatever goes wrong, while they still like to stay mad and feel sorry for themselves. ("Excuse me, too busy / You're writing your tragedy")

That's the "beauty in the breakdown" for me. I feel like a more mature person now, and if that requires that I "let go" and "Jump in", then I shouldn't wait to do so. There's beauty in letting go and moving on, even if it looks like a horrible breakdown. After all, "it's so amazing here".

Everything in this song means something to me, and it means so much more to me now than it ever has. :)
