    General Comment:I think it's about being depressed because of someone leaving you so you go out and try to have fun to forget about it. Even when he's drunk her face won't leave his mind completly.

    My Opinion:I was hoping to see if there was any substance to the most ridiculous internet story ever read. 1> That this song was done by Bob Marley &TW 2> That UB40 are a Canadian group! Thank goodness I have found no such concurrence on here, and I presume there's less drivel than would be found on Yahoo answers or on YouTube I am sure UB40 by their name alone were founded in the UK.. any evidence to the contrary would be well received (w/o the rotflmao response!!

    My Interpretation:I'd have to say this is probably one of the catchiest songs I've ever heard that's meant to inspire nothing but hopeless grief. Not only is the singer inconsolable about losing his woman, but now he sings an ode to his wine, imploring it to take him down into drunken oblivion. It very promptly does so, reducing the rest of the song to increasingly incoherent babbling. The whole situation portrayed is about as close as anyone can come to committing suicide without actually dying.

    General Comment:This song is actually about a person that became an alcoholic because he lost someone he loved. We can see this from the first verse: "Red, red wine, Go to my head, Make me forget that I, Still need her so". Still need her so obviously means he never got over the fact he lost her, and he drinks red wine to help him forget about her. We know the person is dependent on alcohol (an alcoholic) by this verse: "Red red wine you make me feel so fine, You keep me rocking all of the time". The person has become an alcoholic because when he drinks the red wine it makes him feel better, although it makes him feel bad the next morning, it makes him forget about the horrible memories of losing this loved person: "Red, red wine, It`s up to you, All I can do, I`ve done, But mem`ries won`t go, No, mem`ries won`t go". We can also see that his dependencies on alcohol have came about because he knows the red wine will never leave him like his ex-girlfriend: "Red, red wine, Stay close to me, Don`t let me be alone, It`s tearin` apart, My blue, blue heart". What an amazing song, a girl I once dated opened up my chest and ripped my heart out and stamped all over it. If I had of came across this song earlier I may not feel the way I do about it all now. What a shame that such a beautiful world can be so tragic at the same time, nature over nurture!

    General Comment:Although this song may appear to be about wine, actually the main theme is beef. Beef and possible the products related to beef, such as buns and condiments. Another pleasant beef dish is shepherds pie, which is minced beef, carrots and onion with a mashed potato and cheese-covered topping. This is best served with gravy and peas, to best bring out beef's unique and versatile flavour.
